About the Wild Sonora website
This Wild Sonora website is my effort to foster appreciation and protection for ecosystems, wild country, and biodiversity of my home region.
The site began with a focus on the Mexican state of Sonora, but since it pays the most of its attention to natural landscapes, which do not abide by political boundaries, it is now more regionally focused. See the region the site covers.
Wild Sonora is primarily a place for stories, visual media, maps, discussions, and data about the natural landscape, geography, animals, and plants, but is not limited to those topics.
This site is partly meant as a hub for people with similar interests to share experiences, information and resources. You can sign up for an account to participate.
It is designed to be participatory - you are encouraged to add photos and pages to this site!
Log in or create an account to participate in the Wild Sonora website. Once you are logged in you will see links for creating content in the sidebar. I need to approve new users, so please be patient, as I don't always get to it immediately. The site should notify you once your account is activated.
This site does get a lot of traffic–many people who care about the region–so uploading content is worthwhile. Enjoy!
